To get reliable data about how your spaces are used, you need widespread user adoption and trust. Floorsight has been designed from the ground up to foster high levels of user uptake, which means high-quality, actionable data.

Floorsight leverages the cue-response-reward loop to quickly generate habitual user engagement:

  • If a space is occupied without a booking, the desk device’s indicator light can flash, or the Handset / Display can display customisable text.

  • “No Swipe No Power” softwiring integration can disable power to desk peripherals - such as monitors and docking stations - until check-in.

  • Optional audio alerts can remind users to check in.

  • Most importantly, Floorsight desk devices provide immediate benefits for your users, like automated height preferences, at-desk charging, and coworker location.

Using at-desk booking should be as easy as possible. Floorsight users simply need to place their building access card or smartphone on the desk booking device to check-in. If a user has prebooked a desk, they don’t need to do anything: the Floorsense app, running in the background, can automate the check-in process.

OpenThread Icon

Floorsense mesh networking is based on the OpenThread platform developed by Google for Internet of Things (IoT) devices and smart buildings. Ultra-low power and reliable connections to desk devices comes standard.

Single Controller Icon

The mesh network is aggregated at a single Floorsense controller for each floor. Controllers are small embedded devices that can be concealed anywhere. When used in conjunction with Smartalock, they can be concealed in the toe-kick space of a locker bank.

Simon Hope has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, developing hardware and software, as well as IP networking solutions for large multinationals and local companies alike. Recent sales include bespoke technology solutions for Pepsi, Alere, and Cisco Systems.

Daniel Hope has an honours degree in Electrical Engineering, and 25+ years experience developing bespoke hardware and software. Recent work includes development of custom Bluetooth hardware for the medical industry and long-range low frequency wireless solutions.
